Things are getting intense on opening night of the NBA restart in the “Battle of L.A.” The Los Angeles Lakers are currently taking on the Los Angeles Clippers in a game that has been close from the opening tip. Early in the second half, LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard got into it a bit, with the former complaining about a non-call on a blocked shot.

Here is a clip of the brief exchange between the two superstars of the opposing teams in Lakers-Clippers:

As we all know, Leonard is not the type that usually engages in such back-and-forth action. Despite being a fun guy, Kawhi is a very quiet and timid type both on and off the floor. This is why it comes as a bit of a surprise that he engaged in a brief war of words with LeBron, his Lakers opponent.

It was all part of the game, though, and there is no animosity between these two gentlemen.

This matchup between the Lakers and the Clippers is an important contest in terms of positioning in the West. Entering the restart, the Lakers own the top seed in the conference, with the Clippers five and a half games behind them. Needless to say, the result of this game will have a significant impact on the chase for the top spot in the West.

It is worth noting, however, that home court advantage will no longer be a significant factor inside the bubble. Then again, bragging rights between two of the most highly-touted teams in the league today is at stake, so the level of competition remains extremely high between the Lakers and Clippers.
