Despite the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers are officially eliminated from the playoffs, All-Star forward LeBron James continues to rack-up one statistical accomplishment after another.
During their game against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night, the four-time MVP passed Dale Ellis for the 19th spot on the all-time 3-pointers made list.
While most teams eliminated from the playoffs have decided to shut down some of their key players, LeBron James continues to play for the Lakers. This, despite the fact that his Finals and playoffs streaks have officially ended with the team's 111-106 loss to the Brooklyn Nets two days ago.
He will now need at least 41 to surpass Peja Stojakovic for the 18th spot.
Passing Ellis was the latest accomplishment of James this season. In November of last year, he passed Wilt Chamberlain for the fifth spot in the all-time scoring list, and three months later, he took the fourth spot in the same list from Michael Jordan.
This is also the season where LeBron reached 32,000 career points.
However, these are all minor achievements that don't mean anything to Laker fans, as the Purple and Gold nation want nothing but a title from the 16-year veteran.
LeBron assured the Laker fans that their struggles are not going to last much longer, and he intends to deliver on his promise of bringing glory days back to Los Angeles in as early as next season.
For now, the only thing that James can do is finish the season strong and continue to show commitment to the loyal fan base of the Lakers.
