Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was recently praised by Laker legend and Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, calling him this generation's hero. The four-time MVP responded to KAJ's comments, saying that he's honored to be recognized by one of the players he idolized growing up.

LeBron James has always been compared to Michael Jordan, who is seen by many as the greatest basketball player of all-time. However, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar sees James as someone that's beyond the GOAT debate because of how people values his opinions regarding the most pressing issues in the world. He's someone who's never afraid to let his voice be heard, especially on issues that revolve around politics and racism.

LeBron's social influence is something that gives him an edge over Jordan, because the latter didn't have enough platforms to share his thoughts back in the 90s.

As a player, LeBron is statistically better than Jordan, but what really hurt his case in every GOAT debate or discussion is his six Finals losses, something that MJ never experienced in his career.

Still, James has been one of the most phenomenal players over the past two decades. He's still playing at an elite level despite being 34 years old, and a lot of people still believe that he can win a title or two before he decides to call it quits.

There's no denying that Jordan is in a completely different level as a player, but no one can discredit LeBron for everything that he's done both on and off the court.
