Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to Twitter to send his best wishes to Golden State Warriors big man DeMarcus Cousins, who suffered what could be a serious leg injury against the Los Angeles Clippers Monday night.

LeBron James, who suffered a groin injury that caused him to miss a career-high 18 games, knows how injuries could impact the outcome of a game, and even a season. Like a lot of fans, he's hoping Cousins won't miss a significant amount of time.

Cousins chased down a loose ball in the first quarter in Game 2 of the Warriors' playoff series against the Clippers. Even though there was no physical contact from anyone, Boogie clutched his left thigh before eventually limping off the court to the locker room.

He was ruled out for the rest of the game.

It was later announced by the Warriors that Cousins suffered a quad injury. He is set to get an MRI on Tuesday.

The severity of Cousins' injury is still unknown at the moment, but fans are already hoping for the best for him. The former All-Star returned last January after missing almost an entire year, as he recovered from the torn Achilles he suffered last season while he was still playing for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Cousins worked really hard to play again this season. He returned earlier than expected and immediately helped the Warriors reclaim the top spot in the Western Conference standings. Golden State was also starting to give Boogie more responsibility on the floor by running more offensive sets around him.

LeBron James isn't part of the playoffs, but he has an acute understanding of what it means to play for championships. DeMarcus Cousins was looking forward to his own opportunity; we will soon see if he will be able to pursue it.
