Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James remembered the legacy of Nipsey Hussle in the hip-hop legend's second death anniversary.

Via Twitter, LeBron quoted the late rapper to commemorate his life. To recall, Nipsey Hussle or Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was shot and killed in a gang-related incident two years ago right outside his store, The Marathon Clothing in Los Angeles, California. He was 33 years old.

Apart from being a hip-hop star and an entrepreneur, Nipsey Hussle was also a huge basketball fan and regularly watched Lakers games at the Staples Center. LeBron, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden are known to be some of his closest peers.

Likes LeBron, Nipsey Hussle had a penchant for giving back to the community. As he slowly rose to prominence in the hip-hop scene, he made sure that his hometown of Crenshaw got a good dose of his success. In 2018, with the help of sports brand Puma, Nipsey Hussle refurbished the basketball court at 59th Elementary School where he used to play ball.

LeBron was devastated upon hearing Nipsey Hussle's death in 2019, knowing how he was a huge part of the community before the tragic murder. The four-time MVP was a huge fan of Nipsey Hussle's songs, even rapping to them in some of his videos posted on social media.

Two years after his death, the influence and legacy of Nipsey Hussle are still going strong. For those following LeBron James, he's been regularly posting quotes, music, and photos of the late rapper. There's no question that his loss still stings. But The King is doing his best to honor his good friend.
