LeBron James has officially been shut down for the tiny morsel left in the 2021-22 NBA season. But even as the Los Angeles Lakers have had a nightmarish season, King James was able to show the world he could still play at the highest level.

While there are several records, stats and highlights with which to argue LeBron James was still a freak of nature this season, the most obvious one is his scoring. King James scored over 30 points per night for a Lakers squad that sorely needed it. He's 37-years-old, folks.

That feat bookends NBA history for him as both the youngest and the oldest player in NBA history to eclipse the 30-point plateau for a single season.

The fact that LeBron James is on Year 19 going on 20 shows his longevity. But the fact that he managed to pull off this feat, down Lakers season or not, highlights the prolonged dominance he's imposed on the league ever since he was drafted in 2003.

What happens next season with the Lakers is anybody's guess. But as long as LeBron James is on the court in purple and gold, their games are worth watching if only to appreciate the greatness he still possesses.
