Following a sneaker audition that was this year's Summer League, seeing Lonzo Ball sport Nike and Adidas shoes during his debut stints on the court, the rookie has released a remix of his ZO2 Prime shoes by Big Baller Brand.

The Chino Hills native had not worn his signature shoe since July 8, using the remainder of the summer to go back into the lab and frankenstein a new look to his sneakers prior to their official release in November.

“This summer, ironically enough we were the ones inspired,” Ball told SLAM Magazine. “Inspired by the thousands of people that's on the pop-up shops with their families, hours and hours just waiting to meet us. Inspired by all the celebrities that took part in social media to support the movement.”

“…It's the lightest basketball shoe ever made.”

Despite all the attention from all the sneaker companies, the Ball family seems intent in having Lonzo's sneakers take the court in his first season.

This new design will replace the original silhouette, offering a refund option for those who bought the original design and don't want to receive the new remixed version in exchange.

The Showtime edition and Independence Day colorways are also slated to receive the new silhouette and shipping dates for those pre-orders also expected to remain the same.

These new shoes feature a carbon fiber heel cap, with a tri-texture combination on the upper — haptic 3D printing in the high abrasion areas and a semi-sock construction fabric that blends into a much slimmer tongue, providing an overall better fit.
