LeBron suffered a serious left groin injury on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors and missed 17 consecutive games. The Purple and Gold went 6-11 during that stretch and fell out of the playoff race.

It has been a whirlwind of an offseason for the Lakers. After the franchise and head coach Luke Walton parted ways, everyone expected LA to hire former Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue, who has a strong rapport with James. However, negotiations between LA and Lue fell apart after the Lakers only offered Lue a three-year deal.

The organization rebounded by hiring former Indiana Pacers and Magic coach Frank Vogel. Hall of Famer Jason Kidd will be Vogel’s lead assistant coach. A lot of fans didn’t like the move of hiring Vogel and Kidd, but they will surely be happy to hear that Dr. Judy Seto is back.
