Los Angeles Lakers center Marc Gasol has seen a diminished role in the second half of the 2020-21 season, especially after the arrival of another big man in Andre Drummond. On Saturday night, the Spaniard saw limited action once again in their tilt against the Dallas Mavericks.

After the game, Gasol then had a hilarious response on the amount of playing time that he is seeing as of late due to the Lakers' crowded frontcourt unit, via Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation.

Despite being in an unfavorable situation, Gasol bared that every player has to buy in with the decisions being made by Lakers head coach Frank Vogel amid the team's new dynamic.

In their road trip against the Mavericks, the Lakers finally welcomed Anthony Davis back on the floor after a long absence. His return meant that Gasol would have even fewer minutes than usual.

On Saturday night, Gasol was limited to notch a single point and seven rebounds to go with a couple of assists in 18 minutes of action. Davis, Drummond, and Markieff Morris all saw more minutes than him on the floor. However, a key big man in Montrezl Harrell failed to see action due to the coach's decision.

With Davis struggling and LeBron James still out of the lineup, the Lakers dropped their third straight game as they succumbed to a 108-93 loss. Despite their losing skid, the Los Angeles continues to hold the fifth spot in the Western Conference with a 35-25 record.

Marc Gasol could see an even lesser role as they head toward the latter stages of the season and into the playoffs. For the veteran big man, he should aim to make the most out of his limited minutes and prove to everyone that he can still make an impact despite seeing less action on the floor.
