The Los Angeles Lakers have been keeping busy on Friday. After it was revealed that former Portland Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts has been interviewed for the head coaching post, it is now being reported that former Golden State Warriors shot-caller Mark Jackson is also being considered for the job opening.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers have interviewed Jackson as a potential candidate to be LeBron James' next head coach:

“The Los Angeles Lakers have interviewed former Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson for their head coaching job, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Jackson is among the finalists for the Sacramento Kings head coach opening,” Shams said in his tweet

Jackson has already been thrown into the list of potential candidates for the Lakers in the past but this development still comes as a bit of a surprise considering how Jackson has already been named as a finalist for the head coach opening with the Sacramento Kings. Jackson is clearly keeping his options open here and the same can be said for the Lakers.

One man that is apparently no longer in contention for the head coach post for the Lakers is assistant Phil Handy. That's now one man off the list, which appears to be growing by the day.
