Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Danny Green had a vicious putback dunk against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

The NBA and the league office clearly saw the play and apparently are suspicious, as Green took to Twitter to announce that he got randomly drug tested on Monday.

The NBA did this to Lakers guard Alex Caruso as well. Caruso got hit with a random offseason drug test a week after a photoshop of him looking jacked surfaced on social media:

Deandre Ayton, Wilson Chandler and John Collins have been suspended for PED use this season. The timing of Green's test is odd, but it looks like the NBA just wants to make sure the players are following the rules.

In his first season with the Lakers, Green is averaging 8.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. The two-time champion is shooting 44.1 percent from the field, 42.2 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.

After defeating the Hawks on Sunday, the Lakers improved to 11-2 on the season, good for first place in the Western Conference standings. With stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the charge, LA has a great chance of winning the title this season.

Green's shooting and defense are important as well for the Lakers.
