Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo is jacking up a lot of threes against the Milwaukee Bucks for some reason.

Just in case you didn't know, Rondo is shooting 31 percent from the 3-point area this season.

Missing seven 3-pointers in the first half for Rondo alone might not suit well for Lakers head coach Luke Walton. The former All-Star is really not known for his shooting, and the team would rather have him facilitate the offense than take a lot of jumpers.

But Rondo's role for the Lakers has been unclear right from the beginning. One game, he will average 30+ minutes before playing less than 15 in the next. Whether it's the coaching staff's fault or not, they will need to establish his role and utilize him properly in order for the team to benefit.

But if Rondo's got the green light to shoot 3-pointers, it's likely because he's working on it, knowing that Lakers superstar LeBron James needs to be surrounded by shooters in order for him to be 100 percent effective on the floor.

Should Rondo be able to develop a 3-point shot, it would be of great help to the Lakers who have been really inconsistent from behind the arc this season.

Rondo is wise enough to know what works for him and what's not.

This is an important game for the Lakers, as a victory could inch them closer to making the playoffs. At the moment, they are three games behind the San Antonio Spurs and L.A. Clippers, who are tied for the seventh spot in the Western Conference.
