LeBron James made headlines of late when he passed Karl Malone as the second all-time leading scorer in NBA history. But he's not the only Los Angeles Lakers star climbing up the scoring list. Russell Westbrook just made his own leap in LA's last game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Westbrook lead the way for the Lakers on Wednesday night, finishing with 24 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.

Two of those points zoomed him past Lakers icon Elgin Baylor to take possession of 32nd in all-time scoring.

Via Lakers beat reporter Ryan Ward:

With his fifth field goal of the night, Russell Westbrook passed Elgin Baylor for 32nd place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, via Lakers PR.

Russell Westbrook's total of 23,164 is just one point shy of 31st, currently held by LeBron James' former teammate in Dwyane Wade. The Lakers point guard is also just 13 points short of Adrian Dantley for 30th place.

He'll have his work cut out for him catching the 29th placer though, given that he's still putting up major scoring numbers in James Harden.

Russell Westbrook may have gotten some heat for not playing up to expectations in a Lakers uniform, but he's still one of the all-time greats. This latest feat is simply another reminder of that.
