Frank Vogel is set to be replaced in Los Angeles. And while Russell Westbrook is still with the Lakers on paper, his future looks as murky as it's ever been.
If you ask Charles Barkley, though, neither of them deserve their fate. According to Check, the Lakers are using both Vogel and Westbrook as scapegoats for the failed roster construction.
“Frank Vogel is getting screwed. Whoever put these old a– geezers together, they deserve the lion's share. They scapegoated Frank, obviously, and Russ all year. But the Lakers, I told you from Day 1, I said the only chance the team got at being competitive is Anthony Davis. Clearly he's not doing what he's supposed to do. But to blame Frank and Russ for putting this old a– team together?” said Barkley in a passionate rant.

The Lakers were very much flawed when it came down to it. While Frank Vogel and Russell Westbrook both shared in part of the blame for the failed season, they're definitely not the sole culprits for everything going wrong.
Charles Barkley puts more of the blame on actually piecing the Lakers roster together, which falls more on GM Rob Pelinka, and to an extent LeBron James and Anthony Davis for their influence in the decision-making process.
While Chuck didn't say that outright, it's not hard to make the association.
