Los Angeles Lakers veteran center Tyson Chandler says that Kyle Kuzma is a student of the game and sucks up information like a vacuum. Chandler signed with the Lakers last month after initially considering an offer from the Golden State Warriors.

NBA.com's Kevin Ding wrote about Chandler's decision to choose the Lakers over the Warriors, including his heap of praises for the 23-year-old Kuzma.

“I should’ve known, because when we worked out, he did nothing but ask questions the whole time,” Chandler said. “And not even just about my workouts, but about the vitamins I take, my regimen, everything. He wanted to know everything.”

“I should’ve known that he would end up being a good player. I don’t know if I could’ve predicted what he’s becoming, but I love it, because he’s an incredible dude. He’s what you would want on your team.”

Kuzma, who has gotten the nod to start at the power forward slot for the Lakers, is posting impressive averages of 18.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists this season. Despite being tasked to be the second option on offense, Kuzma hasn't been a liability on defense. With Chandler on board, it's only a matter of time before the 6-foot-9 forward becomes one of the most potent two-way threats in the league.

Chandler, a winner and a leader, was the defensive anchor of a Dallas Mavericks team that stunned LeBron James and the Miami Heat during the 2011 Finals. They have come full circle as the 7-foot-1 big man is now helping James lead the charge for the revamped Lakers squad.
