A multi-sport beef brewed between Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic earlier this year. Months after, it seems Zlatan stands by his take.

Back in February, Ibrahimovic went at King James. The Lakers star eventually responded to the pointed shot at him, which was a virtual “shut up and dribble” take that he's heard before.

Even after letting the beef simmer for a handful of months, Zlatan Ibrahimovic remains unrepentant. The football star spoke out on his exchanges with the Lakers icon during a recent interview with France Football:

“I said that we are not politicians,” Ibrahimovic said on his row with the Lakers star. “Politics divides people. Football, in my world, unites people. Big difference. Because I have had the chance to meet and get to know people that I would never have known if I did not play football. I have met people from all four corners of the world. We unite people. Politicians divide. If I wanted to be a politician, I would do politics. We should only do what we’re good at. Sports and politics are two different categories. If you are intelligent, you understand.”

Regardless of whether you agree with Zlatan Ibrahimovic or not, the man doesn't back down. It remains to be seen if LeBron James responds this time around as his Lakers gear up for the start of a new season.
