With the new season fast approaching, several teams around the league are still scrambling to round out their respective rosters. One of them is the Los Angeles Lakers, who are reportedly interested in one particular veteran free agent. LeBron James and Co. appear to have some competition, though, which comes in the form of the Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls, and Orlando Magic.

According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Lakers are just one of the teams considering a move for James Ennis:

James Ennis has drawn interest from the Blazers as well as the Bulls, Lakers, and Magic, I’m told,” Scotto said in a recent episode of The HoopsHype Podcast.

Ennis, 31, suited up for the Magic last season and played 41 games for Orlando. The 6-foot-6 swingman averaged 8.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 24.0 minutes per contest.

As of right now, the Lakers still have two roster spots available, but they reportedly want to keep one vacant as they look to keep their options open throughout the season. This means that they're now in the hunt for just one more player to add before the season tips off. Could James Ennis be the final piece for LA's revamped lineup?
