With this season's trade deadline just hours away (Thursday at 3:00 p.m. EST), several teams around the NBA are searching for players who they feel might bolster their respective rosters. The Los Angeles Lakers can be counted among the teams, and it sounds like they're willing to offer Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson, according to a report from Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

As O'Connor noted, it is unclear which teams might have interest in Nance or Clarkson. Both are talented young players with bright futures.

Nance, now 25 years of age, is an excellent post player. The Richfield, Ohio native has made 42 appearances with the Lakers this season, averaging 8.6 points on 60.1 percent shooting from the field, 6.8 rebounds, and 1,4 assists.

Clarkson, 25, is enjoying one of the best seasons of his professional career. The former University of Missouri stand-out has played in 53 games with the Lakers this season, averaging 14.5 points on 44.8 percent shooting from the field (32.4 percent from beyond the arc), 3.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds.

Whether or not the Lakers will be able to complete a trade including Nance or Clarkson remains to be seen, but it sounds like the team is staying active right up until the deadline. It seems as though they'd like to shed some salary space or acquire Draft picks.

“We've gotta make moves to [become a contender], we know that, so we're constantly assessing that,” Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka recently said during an interview with Spectrum SportsNet. “And if there's things this trade deadline that help us take steps up the mountain on that journey, we'll absolutely do them. But if those things don't present itself, then we'll stay the course with what we have.”
