Boston Celtics wing Josh Richardson seems to be attracting attention ahead of the NBA trade deadline, and it appears that Hollywood is among his potential destination. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Los Angeles Lakers are rumored to be among those showing interest in the 28-year-old Richardson.

The Lakers are still struggling to find their footing this season, even with a stacked roster filled with stars. They are currently under .500 with a 26-28 record and the front office probably feels that it should move the needle before the trade deadline to help address some of the issues plaguing the team.

Richardson hasn't quite been a significant factor for the Celtics, as he is only averaging 9.9 points on 44.4 percent shooting from the field this season. Known for his ability to hit the three and defend opposing wings, Richardson can still be a nice addition to a team like the Lakers, who could use another shooter. Richardson is shooting 40 percent from deep this season and is a career 36.2 percent 3-point shooter.

The former Tennessee Volunteers star is set to be a free agent at the end of the 2021-22 NBA season, so he would likely just be a rental player for the Lakers in the event he gets shipped to La La Land.
