Los Angeles Lakers sensation Alex Caruso took a trip down memory lane to revisit his epic putback dunk against the Golden State Warriors last season.

The Lakers' cult icon talked to Manchester City midfielder Kevin DeBruyne during a chat, remembering that thunderous slam against the Western Conference powerhouse:

“You know what's funny about this? I always tell people this. We were playing so bad, right?” said the Lakers guard. “This is like, they got Steph, KD, Klay and Draymond — their whole championship team. We were out of the playoffs already, and so LeBron is not playing, all these guys aren't playing. So we're just getting smacked. It's 18 points right there, we were down like 20 in the first quarter. It was bad. And I was 0-for-6 to start the game and that was my first made shot — and nobody remembers how bad we were playing or how bad the game was. They just remember that dunk.”

The Warriors would indeed go on to win that game, but Caruso's show-stopping slam was one that was carved into the memories of Lakers fans, as one of the many all-out hustle plays that have made him a crowd favorite.

The feisty Lakers guard has made a career out of those 50-50 balls, either by way of steals, blocks, or snagging offensive rebounds when no one thinks he could get his hands in there.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has gone as far as to call him an X-factor, despite playing a deep reserve role behind LeBron James and Rajon Rondo.

Plays like this one are enough to make fans get out of their seat, which has helped the Lakers turn the tide of games on a number of different occasions.
