The Los Angeles Lakers were recently given their championship rings from last season and hopefully they came with a decent warranty. Not long after the Lakers got a chance to wear their championship rings, J.R. Smith dropped his ring on the floor of his home.

In the video of Smith sporting his rings, one of his daughters is attempting to remove one of the rings from his finger. However, his most recent ring with the Lakers fell to the floor in the process, likely causing a few seconds of panic for the shooting guard.

During Tuesday night's opening-night game versus the Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers held a ceremony before the game where players received their rings. The team had family members and friends congratulate them in videos as they proceeded to try on the rings.

Of course, since Smith is no longer on the roster, he wasn't present at the ceremony on Tuesday night. At the least, he still got his championship ring, which is valued at around $150,000.

Smith has now won two championships in his career, with his first one coming with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015-2016 season. That was the year that LeBron James and Kyrie Irving — along with their teammates — were able to will Cleveland back from a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors.

Then, just last season, Smith was part of another special championship as the Lakers won in the NBA bubble and following the tragic death of Kobe Bryant. While Smith wanted to share his rings with his daughters, he may want to get some added insurance for them moving forward.
