Lance Stephenson, the ever-entertaining bundle of frenetic kinetic energy on the Los Angeles Lakers, is always must-watch television. Even if he might have terrible shooting nights and believes that all of his decisions on the court are the right ones – perhaps crunch-time, unexpected, behind-the-back passes might not always work out – “Make ‘Em Dance” Lance is a true joy to behold when he’s playing well.

Tonight, in a game against the Washington Wizards, Lance caught Jeff Green with a shocking crossover that sent Green stumbling backward hilariously.

Clearly, Lance’s teammates on the bench were quite amped for Lance’s exploits, as they erupted in joy after Lance crossed Green up something proper. (They also needed something to cheer about after this rather dispiriting free throw attempt from LeBron.)

To be fair, Lance is a fairly crafty ballhandler with a fairly impressive knack for shaking off defenders and crossing guys over. Though he might sometimes play out of control somewhat (and by sometimes I mean most of the time), when Lance is playing well both his teammates and fans of whatever team he is on respond in a big way.

Even though the Lakers have been officially knocked out of the playoffs and will finish with a worse record than what they finished with last year – when LeBron James was not on the team – Lance was able to make his defender dance and his teammates celebrate.

Sometimes, it’s the little things.
