LeBron James had no issues answering a question from infamous Dallas reporter Scoops Callahan, whose intricate 1920s vernacular would have stumped many an NBA player. Prior to Friday's road game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Lakers star effortlessly navigated his pregame series of interviews without batting an eye to the unusual delivery of Callahan's question in an exchange worthy of NBA interview history:

Callahan: “Champ, let me ask you about tonight. How do you and your hard-boiled cagers from Laker Land plan to put their lid on Luka Doncic and his razzmatazz hop skiddily-doo on your money-making end of the court?”

James: “I don't know if we can stop the razz-skazz skiddily-doo, but we can make it tougher on both of them [Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.] Two great talents and hopefully we come through with a victory.”

LeBron James has likely answered more than a million questions throughout his 17-year career in the league, and this might just be the most unusual of them all. But The King is undoubtedly a pro's pro when it comes to managing the media, and this interview is no exception.

Stopping Doncic and Porzingis can be a tough task for any team, as both players are among the most dynamic talents in the league. James and the rest of his teammates are just hoping to slow them down enough to have a good chance to come out on top.

The Mavs are 3-1 on the season and wrestling with the Lakers (3-1) for a spot in the Western Conference playoffs. Though they've faced a recent rebuilding effort in the last few seasons, they now have the pieces to make something happen, including surprising most teams hopeful of contending for a title.
