Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James deserved a treat after leading his team to its sixth straight win at the expense of the New Orleans Pelicans at Staples Center on Tuesday.

The four-time MVP dropped a season-high 40 points on 11-for-27 shooting from the field and 5-of-11 from 3-point area. The King was enjoying some much-needed rest in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter when he received a sweet treat from a Lakers fan sitting courtside.

LeBron indulged his sweet tooth and helped himself to some licorice with under 30 seconds left in regulation.

Apart from getting some candy, LeBron James also got himself on the Lakers record books on Tuesday. The King became the fourth player above 35 in Purple and Gold history to score at least 40 points in a game.

James is averaging 25.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and a league-leading 10.7 assists per contest for the Lakers this 2019-20 campaign.
