Before you get to excited, no, it doesn't sound like we're getting another Shaquille O'Neal or Kobe Bryant. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is working on an album with rapper 2 Chainz. Don't expect him to rap, though.

Based on that tweet by Complex Music, James has been heavily involved in the new 2 Chainz album set to drop March 1. It appears he's helped with the entire process. That includes picking features, deciding what should be on and what shouldn't make the cut, and dropping a deluxe album one week after initial release.

This is great news for any fan of 2 Chainz, and exciting news for fans of James. Although he probably won't rap on the album, he's had an influence on the sound.

It's no secret that James can have fun with music. He curated the soundtrack for NBA 2k14 and he's a Joe Budden fan.

James has been venturing out from basketball a good amount over the past few years. He was in a movie Trainwreck and has been involved in plenty of documentaries and TV series lately. That includes the Shut Up And Dribble documentary and a TV series called The Shop.

The future Hall of Famer will also be the star of the long-expected Space Jam 2.

It will be interesting to hear the influence James has on 2 Chainz upcoming album. The rapper has always been a basketball fan, and is a surprisingly good athlete himself. Don't be surprised if you hear a few shoutouts to LeBron and other NBA athletes throughout the album.

Again, don't expect James to rap on the album though. Although how good would it be to hear him throw in a few bars about fellow basketball players? Shaq's had a few famous disses to NBA players, Bryant and Vlade Divac being the most notable.

In the end, we won't know what 2 Chainz and James have in store for the world until the release of Rap Or Go To The League on March 1. Everyone will have to wait until then.
