Los Angeles Lakers rookie standout Lonzo Ball unveiled more tricks up under his sleeve in their game against the Detroit Pistons.

A clip posted by Bleacher Report shows Ball sizing up his opponent, unleashing a string of crossovers before stepping back for a jump shot:

It is one of the rare moments where Ball has faced up his opponents for a jump shot. Usually, Ball drives to the lane for a slashing layup or kicks it out to his teammate. The clip proves that Ball, despite his awkward jump shot which is rather easy to read, is capable of pulling up for a quick mid-range.

The clip is reminiscent of one of the greatest shooters in the NBA, Dirk Nowitzki or maybe even James Harden who has rendered his defenders helpless with his nasty step back. It's a tad bit unfair to compare Ball to these greats. He's still a rookie after all and has a lot more points to score and trophies to claim.

But if his father, LaVar Ball, is concerned, Lonzo is the biggest thing in the NBA. Per Josh Martin of LonzoWire:

“First of all, nobody has they own brand like Lonzo,” the Big Baller Brand CEO explained. “Lonzo just don’t have, he got his own clothing line, which is the ZO2 Collection. Nobody has that. Nobody has their own water company. Can anybody else dance and sing onstage as a performer? He’s a rapper. Who’s stacking up to this guy? LeBron can’t rap,” he said. “He ain’t got his own brand. He’s under Nike. He ain’t have his own water. He don’t have this stuff like this.”
