Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball is usually seen playing hoops in a pair of Big Baller Brand kicks. However, the Chino Hills native decided to wear a variant of Kobe Bryant's signature shoe during Wednesday's practice session.

It looks like Ball decided to go with the Kobe AD NXT 360 from Nike — an excellent, low-rising basketball shoe that retails for roughly $200.

The Kobe A.D. NXT 360 Men's Shoe resurrects the Mamba's on-court mentality and killer instinct. The upper wraps your foot in all-around comfort, while the foam combination gives you a springy response when you jump, and a soft feel when you land.

Ball, now 20 years of age and entering his second year of service in the NBA, will be dishing the rock to several new faces in his sophomore season, including LeBron James and Rajon Rondo.

Ball made 52 appearances with the Lakers during their 2017-18 regular season campaign, racking up averages of 10.2 points on 36.0 percent shooting from the field (30.5 percent from beyond the arc), 7.2 assists, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and just under one block (0.8) in 34.2 minutes per outing.

Bryant is a Lakers legend, as most hoops fans know. However, The Mamba hasn't really given Lonzo his full support in the short time he's been with the organization. In fact, Lonzo's father, LaVar, seems to think Lonzo's affinity for LeBron James is part of the issue.

“That’s why Kobe don’t like him that much,” Lonzo Ball said in an interview on Stadium’s “Sauce and Shram” show. “Because he said, ‘I like LeBron.’ LeBron’s always been his guy, though.”

Either Lonzo was trying to honor Kobe by wearing his kicks during practice, or he simply like how the shoe performs. Regardless, Lonzo and the Lakers are primed for a break-out season.
