Tyson Chandler of the Los Angeles Lakers just swatted Trae Young's lay-up that could've won the game for the Atlanta Hawks.

Check out the game-saving block by Chandler, who just played his third game for the Lakers.

Though the block looks like a goal-tend, numerous replays would reveal that Tyson Chandler just caught the ball right at its apex — making the block clean and legal.

The win put the Lakers one game above .500. They have now improved 7-6 and are riding a three-game winning streak.

Chandler was acquired after reaching a buyout agreement with the Phoenix Suns. A former Defensive Player of the Year, he's expected to the team's vocal leader on the defensive end of the court.

In the win, Tyson Chandler finished with two points, five rebounds, two steals, and three blocks. The Lakers were led by LeBron James who had 26 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. James missed two crucial free throws for the Lakers but managed to redeem himself with a putback slam to give his team the lead and set up Chandler's winning moment.

The Hawks, meanwhile, had three players scoring in bunches as Taurean Prince, Kent Bazemore, and Trae Young had 23, 21, and 20 points, respectively.
