Saturday night did not turn out as planned for LaVar Ball and his sons, LiAngelo and LaMelo, who both played their first competitive game in Lithuania’s professional league. After combining for 29 points in the previous exhibition game, the two were held scoreless on the night, where they only saw a total of 14 minutes of action on the floor across each other.

The elder Ball was then asked to give his thoughts on the performance of his sons, but he was quick to give suggestions to the coaching staff of Vytautas Prienu on how they’ll be able to give themselves a better chance of winning.

Ball's opinion did not come as a surprise, especially with how he has been vocal in the past about his belief in his sons. Head coach Virginijus Seeskus then made it known that he is slowly easing LiAngelo and LaMelo into action first, as playing professionally in the European country is something new to them, according to Scott Gleeson of USA TODAY Sports.

It will certainly be interesting to find out how the team’s coaching staff will deal with the playing time of the Ball brothers in their upcoming games. It’s also worth keeping tabs on how the franchise plans to manage LaVar.

Ball made a lot of headlines before leaving for Lithuania when he criticized Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton, and even claimed that the latter has “lost control” of his team. Vytaustas may not be as popular as the Purple and Gold but it can be expected that they will also do their best to control LaVar Ball to avoid bringing a lot of negative publicity to the team.
