In the last few months, LaVar Ball has become essentially a constant soundboard for head-scratching statements.

Ball was at once again when he was recently asked about if he would run for president in the future and gave a response that threw some shade at Nike.

This was clearly a spur of the moment response from Ball directed toward Nike. What makes that even more interesting choice of words is that his son, Lonzo Ball, had received what he believes was a low-ball shoe endorsement deal offer.

There is no love lost in this situation as he knows that his son is on the open market to sign a deal with any shoe company despite creating his first shoe with Big Baller Brand. He made it evident during the Las Vegas Summer League earlier this month by wearing shoes from each major company in Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour.

Until any of these large corporations present Lonzo with a lucrative deal,  LaVar is going to continue to take shots at Nike. It is essentially fair game until his son is signed to a shoe endorsement contract. For the time being, Ball is going to continue on with his antics.
