Leandro Barbosa is finally set to return to the basketball court after signing on for a new team. But instead of signing with an NBA team, the 34-year-old has decided to return home by joining Brazilian club Sesi Franca Basquete.

Barbosa, or the “Brazilian Blur” as he’s known to most NBA fans, played with the Phoenix Suns last season, his third stint with the franchise. He averaged 6.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 14.4 minutes over 67 games for the Suns, but was waived this past summer.

Leandro Barbosa had spent the two previous years playing a key role off the bench for the Golden State Warriors and won the NBA championship with them in 2015.

This isn’t the first time Barbosa has decided to come back home instead of signing in the NBA. In 2013-14, he signed with Esporte Clube Pinheiros as he looked to work his way back from an ACL injury.

However, this most recent move could finally signal the end of the 34-year-old Barbosa’s 14-year playing career in the NBA. If it is, then he’ll go down as one of the most successful Brazilian players ever to play in the league. Aside from winning an NBA title, Leandro Barbosa also won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award with the Suns in 2007.
