Los Angeles Lakers star and Ohio native LeBron James is dumbfounded by Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney's disrespect for his Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes will play Swinney's Tigers in one of the College Football Playoff semifinal games after the selection committee awarded Ohio State the No. 3 spot.

Swinney, however, hardly believes the Buckeyes earned that distinction. He ranked OSU 11th in the final Coaches Poll, which drew this reaction from LeBron James:

The first two spots in the CFP were shoo-in selections.

Alabama is undefeated and the No. 1 team in the country. Clemson has a loss on its resume, but it was against Notre Dame (the No. 4 seed in the CFP) on a night when the Tigers did not have star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. To their credit, Clemson then washed Notre Dame in the ACC Championship Game.

But as LeBron James would certainly argue, Ohio State merits a spot. Sure, the Buckeyes only played six games. But they won all six, including a victory over Indiana and a win over Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Game despite missing a host of players.

Clearly, Swinney is not very impressed. He was the only head coach not to rank the Buckeyes in the top six, and made previous comments suggesting Big Ten teams should not receive the same level of consideration as some of the other power conferences.

Naturally, it would be quite awkward for Swinney, Lawrence and the Tigers should they lose to Ohio State in a rematch of last year's national semifinal.

But it would be vindication for LeBron James and the rest of Buckeye nation.
