The concept of defying Father Time has been strongly associated with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. The 36-year-old wonder, after all, continues to play at an elite level even in his 18th season in the league. While The King definitely deserves that recognition, his former teammate Dwyane Wade suggested that more people should also be giving Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul the same respect.

CP3, after all, is still giving the best young point guards in the league a run for their money even at 35 years old. Wade made it clear on Friday by re-tweeting an appreciation post about the 10-time All-Star.

The league has welcomed a lot of dashing young playmakers over the years. While age has indeed slowed him down a bit, Chris Paul continues to prove that he is still the barometer as far as facilitating at a high level is concerned. In way, unfortunately, his greatness at his age (or any for that matter) does get overshadowed by LeBron James simply existing.

In the Suns' 132-114 road win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, Paul put up a modest 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. He made his teammate looked good once more, dishing out a season-best 19 dimes, as five other Suns players also scored in double figures.

Phoenix has also become a legitimate threat in the West upon CP3's arrival, as they are currently tied with the Portland Trail Blazers for the fourth and fifth places in the division with an 18-10 record. The 35-year-old floor general is notching 17.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 8.6 assists, and 1.3 steals through 27 games.

Dwyane Wade, meanwhile, certainly knows a thing or two about turning back the clock during the backend of his illustrious career. He was aptly dubbed as “Father Prime” in his twilight years. Nonetheless, he's point about Chris Paul is correct, even if LeBron James is on a different tier all his own.
