Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has not only won an NBA Championship in Hollywood, but he has continued to make moves off the court as well. James' SpringHill Company, which he owns alongside longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter, has taken off, with The Shop one of its main entertainment attractions. Now, James is making yet another big move, this time with WTA star Naomi Osaka, per Yahoo Sports and The Hollywood Reporter.

Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka is getting into the entertainment business, launching a media company in partnership with LeBron James’ and Maverick Carter’s The SpringHill Company.

As detailed in The Hollywood Reporter, Osaka and her longtime agent and business partner Stuart Duguid are behind the production banner, which is called Hana Kuma.

Osaka is launching a media company in a partnership with James and Carter. The WTA star and her agent and business partner Stuart Duguid are the leaders of the production company, called Hana Kama, which translates to ‘flower bear' in Japanese.

Osaka's company will produce content on “culturally-specific” issues that are “universal to all audiences.” The company has a project in the works, with the Lakers superstar working alongside Osaka as an executive producer.

It's clear that James and Osaka, who are each active voices in the social justice community, have plans to be major players in the media productions industry.
