The Detroit Lions drafted one of the most exciting rookies in the 2022 NFL Draft, selecting Alabama star wideout Jameson Williams with the 12th overall pick. If there's one thing Williams doesn't lack heading into the NFL, it's confidence in his own abilities. That was put on full display when he was given the annual EA Madden rookie rating treatment.

Chad Johnson hosted a series of the top rookies in the class and had them guess their ratings for specific stats. When it came to Williams' speed rating, he boldly declared it'd be as high as a 98 overall. Low and behold, the 21-year-old was spot on with his prediction, coming in as one of the fastest players in the game.

A 98-speed rating is quite the accomplishment, even if it is only in a video game. Only one player in the entire game boasts 99-rated speed; Tyreek Hill, so he's in with some elite company in that department.

The confidence he showed when predicting his speed will be music to Lions' fans ears, as they need another game-changer on offense to line up alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown, who broke out as a star last season.

Jameson Williams runs a blazing sub-4.4 seconds 40-yard dash, and he will be looking to use that to his advantage during his first season in the pros. Coming off an ACL injury doesn't seem to have anyone worried about his potentially losing some speed, and even Madden awarded the rookie with a stunningly high speed rating. Now, he just has to live up to the hype.
