Despite coming away with the 111-106 victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, Orlando Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier appeared to be quite disappointed with his team's performance on the evening.

According to Fournier, this victory does very little to satisfy him, and he believes that the Magic can and should be playing better basketball than what they exhibited against the Mavs.

“We won tonight, but it wasn't a good enough performance,” Evan Fournier said, via ESPN. “It wasn't satisfying. It doesn't feel like a great win. We have to play better.”

For his part, Fournier himself had a forgettable evening, scoring only 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting. The 26-year-old also notched one three-pointer, one rebound, four assists, and a steal in 33 minutes of action.

What drew the ire of Fournier in this one was the fact that the Magic almost let the game out of their grasp. Orlando had already amassed a sizable 19-point advantage entering the final quarter of the game. However, the Mavs went on a huge run that made things a bit too close for comfort for the Magic.

Despite Orlando being able to eventually hold off the Mavs and emerging with the victory, Dallas was still able to outscore the Magic by 14 points in the fourth period, as they were held to only 19 points in the final frame.

The Magic's complacency and lack of urgency after accumulating a huge lead is what makes this victory bittersweet, and in the case of Fournier, he would much rather focus on what his team must work on as opposed to sitting on their laurels.
