Nikola Vucevic has been mentioned in numerous trade rumors and was linked to several teams in free agency, but he will stay with the Orlando Magic after all.

Vucevic reportedly agreed to a four-year deal worth $100 million with the Magic, per Bobby Marks of ESPN. The 28-year-old also took to Twitter to confirm that he will continue his journey in Orlando.

The former USC standout told Alex Kennedy of Hoopshype that their playoff stint last season was a huge factor in his decision to stay in Orlando. He believes that the Magic is heading into the right direction despite losing to the Toronto Raptors in five games in the opening round.

“It felt right for me to stay there and continue this,” Vucevic said. “Being one of the best players on the team, I wanted to come back and keep this thing going. And I’m glad that we were able to agree on everything, so I could come back and do that.”

Vucevic, who has spent the past seven seasons in Orlando after playing his rookie season with the Philadelphia 76ers, is coming off the best year of his career. He averaged career-highs 20.8 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in the 2018-19 campaign. The Montenegrin center also made his first All-Star appearance last season.
