The Orlando Magic defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday to take a shocking 1-0 series lead.
The Magic were led by All-Star big man Nikola Vucevic, who finished with 35 points and 13 rebounds in 37 minutes. Shooting guard Terrence Ross chipped in 18 points and six rebounds and former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz had a solid playoff debut with 15 points, two rebounds and six assists.
This is a fantastic win for the Magic, who were playing without Aaron Gordon. Although Orlando won Game 1 against the Toronto Raptors last season and lost four straight after, the bubble games are different since there are no fans in attendance.
With that said, the odds of the Magic pulling off the upset are higher since they don't have to play in Milwaukee. Game 2 of this series is on Thursday. Look for the Bucks to come out like gangbusters and put the game away earlier.
The Magic, who have nothing to lose in their series and can play freely, somehow won Game 1 despite only getting nine points from Evan Fournier. The fact that Orlando won without Gordon playing and with Fournier struggling points to how stellar of a victory this was.
