Orlando Magic fans had a lot to cheer for earlier in the season. Their team started with an 8-4 record and was one of the top dogs in the East.

Fast forward to today and the lackluster Magic are 12-31.

It's hard to be a Magic fan these days. It would be way easier to accept the team's defeats if the fans could actually see progress, like the Nets for example.

The team seems to have no clear direction, and it will be better off to push the restart button.

It looks like NBA executives agree. According to Marc Stein of New York Times, executives expect Jeff Weltman, the Magic's new team president, to shop Evan Fournier, Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja.

Rival executives expect Jeff Weltman, Orlando’s new team president, to aggressively hunt for new homes for the likes of Evan Fournier, Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja, given that Nikola Vucevic’s broken finger is likely to preclude dealing the center.

These players can be serviceable for other teams. Fournier is averaging 17.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists this season, while Elfrid Payton is averaging 12.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists.

Hezonja may not boast such numbers, but he is still young and has a lot of upside.

It's also been said that Nikola Vucevic might be in the trading block. But his broken finger may lower his trade value and make trading him even impossible.

As the trade deadline goes nearer and nearer, these speculations can only grow.

Who knows? Maybe these trades are the very things that will bring the magic back into Orlando.
