Manchester United once again failed to secure a positive result on Saturday, losing 1-0 to relegation-threatened Everton. Tensions were high following the match and Cristiano Ronaldo was even seen limping off with a clear injury.

However, as he made his way down the tunnel, it appears the Red Devils striker grabbed a Toffees fan's phone and smashed it on the ground:

Not a good look for Cristiano or Manchester United. Per Sky Sports, the club is looking into the incident. Anthony Gordon's first-half goal was the back-breaker for United, who struggled to put away their chances.

They now look like a longshot to make the Champions League, currently sitting in seventh place with 51 points. The Red Devils have also won just once in their last five league appearances.

Clearly, Ronaldo was very frustrated and that seems to be the narrative for this season at Manchester United. The side struggles to consistently string together results and with UCL likely out of reach, it's likely Cristiano departs this summer. It will be another trophy-less campaign for the Red Devils, but they will have a new manager coming in as Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag is on the verge of taking over for 2022-23. Ralf Rangnick will move into a different role with the club.
