New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC in the form of the booster course pass will bring back classic tracks from previous Mario Kart games to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

During the February 19 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed the new Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This pass will give players access to 48 additional DLC courses in a series of waves. Players can expect the first wave of DLC courses to launch by March 18 this year. This series of releases will go on until all 48 courses launch by the end of 2023. The Boost Course Pass will cost $24.99, while NSO + Expansion Pass members can get the pass for free. Keep in mind that these DLC courses cannot be separately purchased. For those who are interested in the Boost Course Pass, you may pre-order the pass starting today.

Having an additional 48 courses coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is very exciting for Mario Kart fans. For a while now, fans of the franchise have been waiting for a brand new Mario Kart game. These DLC courses can serve as a great way to distract ourselves from the idea of a new Mario Kart game. Plus, it’ll be a stroll down memory lane since some race tracks from the previous MK games are being remastered. Tracks like Wii’s Coconut Mall, N64’s Choco Mountain, and Tour’s Tokyo Blur are going to be DLC Courses, and these three specifically will be part of the first booster course pass. With these additional 48 tracks coming soon, this somehow lessens our urge for a new Mario Kart game. Hopefully, the tracks don’t disappoint.
