Not a lot of people appreciated Super Mario Party, complaining about the lack of game modes, variety, and content. Well, Nintendo's heard your feedback. That's why old-school boards and mini-games from Mario Party‘s history will be coming back in Mario Party Superstars, the brand-new Mario Party game coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Mario Party Superstars Release Date: October 29, 2021

Nintendo released the Mario Party Superstars announcement trailer during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct. The trailer, thankfully, also gave us a release date: October 29, 2021.

The new game draws from the massive collection of mini-games all throughout the series' history. Over a hundred mini-games return, remastered for the Nintendo Switch console. There are also five classic boards making a comeback, with a few refurbished parts here and there. While the nostalgia factor is very much appreciated, Nintendo also isn't simply bringing the past back. Of course, there are a variety of new features and quality-of-life improvements to be found here. They used all the feedback they received from Super Mario Party and used all of that to improve the experience players will find in Mario Party Superstars.
