Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis played two seasons with Carmelo Anthony on the New York Knicks. By all accounts, the current Mavs star and Anthony had a good relationship in New York despite not winning a lot of games in The Big Apple.
Porzingis, who is one of the brightest young talents in the league, says he would “love to see” Anthony back in the NBA. Melo hasn't played in a game since November of 2018.

Anthony played in just 10 games with the Houston Rockets last season before the franchise exiled and traded him to the Chicago Bulls in January.
The 10-time All-Star averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Anthony’s future in the NBA is very uncertain. Porzingis is hoping his former teammate gets one more shot in the league.
“Melo looks great physically, you know, in the videos on social media and obviously one of the best offensive players of all time,” Porzingis told Landon Buford of Heavy.com. “So, he's gonna score the ball no matter what, but there's different situations and stuff going on and he wants to be probably in a certain place where he can win and finish his career how he would like to. So, it's hard to say, but I would love to see Melo on a team definitely.”
