It did not take defensive end Michael Bennett a lot of time to make a reaction following the news of his trade from the Seattle Seahawks to the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday. But instead of the typical lengthy social media post, Bennett had a unique way of conveying his feelings about this new chapter in his football career.

In a Twitter post, Bennett showed a photoshopped image of him wearing an Eagles uniform with an accompanying caption of a series of emojis and a shoutout to Philly native rapper, Meek Mill.

Meek Mill is in prison for violating his parole in relation to drug and gun case. Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley was found guilty of those charges in 2009 and was sentenced to 11Β½ to 23 months of prison time along with a five-year probation period. Meek Mill was released in 2009, but found himself back in prison in 2017.

Going back to Michael Bennett, the 32-year-old veteran is viewed as a terrific addition for the Eagles, who already boast of a sturdy stop unit even before Bennett's trade, one that also features Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, and Tim Jernigan. Bennett is coming off a strong 2017 campaign in which he recorded 8.5 sacks in 16 games played. Bennett has racked up no fewer than seven sacks in five of his last six seasons in the NFL.

Bennett also followed up his Meek Mill post with a more heartfelt message on Instagram for Seattle and its fans.

Bennett was sent by the Seahawks along with a seventh-round pick to the reigning Super Bowl champions for wideout Marcus Johnson and a fifth-round pick.
