Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh recently dropped notable praise on running back Blake Corum. The Wolverines are in the midst of a tremendous 2022 campaign and Corum has played a pivotal role in their success. Harbaugh did not hold back when discussing the young running back, per mlive.com.

“He’s definitely having an MVP season for us here at Michigan,” Harbaugh said. “It’d be hard to imagine that he wouldn’t be (in the running) to win the Heisman Trophy. Leading in touchdowns, leading in points scored. Consistently, really good every game.”

Blake Corum is approaching the 1,200 rushing yard mark for Michigan football. He's also scored an outstanding total of 16 touchdowns through 9 games for the Wolverines. He's enjoying an extremely productive season for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan without question.

Jim Harbaugh went on to compare Blake Corum to former running backs he's coached including Toby Gerhart and Frank Gore.

“Blake has meant even more to this 2022 team than Toby did that season,” Harbaugh said. “I think the only exception would be Frank Gore, who I was able to coach (in San Francisco) But Blake is the best running back I’ve coached (in college).”

Harbaugh isn't one to throw complements around on a consistent basis. His comments speak to the elite ability of Corum for Michigan football.

The Wolverines came up short in the College Football Playoffs last year. However, they are aiming to win the national championship this season. They have been underrated as a team at times so far in 2022. But with Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines and Blake Corum in the backfield, this Michigan football team may be able to get the job done.
