The New York Yankees and Texas Rangers will continue their four-game series in Arlington on Wednesday night. It’s time to continue our MLB odds series and make a Yankees-Rangers prediction and pick.

The series is now tied at one game apiece after the Yankees secured a 7-4 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday. This series has featured a ton of offense as the combined score of the first two games is dead even at 9-9. Will the pitching finally show up in the crucial third game of the series?

Here’s how sportsbooks have set the Yankees-Rangers odds.

MLB Odds: Yankees-Rangers Odds

New York Yankees -1.5 (-110)

Texas Rangers +1.5 (-110)

Over 8.5 Runs (-125)

Under 8.5 Runs (+105)

Why The Yankees Could Cover The Spread

The Yankees are quickly climbing back up the American League East standings. Following their horrible start to the season, the Yankees have won 12 of their last 17 games to date. The offense has awoken and is finally providing the pitching staff with some needed run support.

With Gleyber Torres, Giancarlo Stanton, and Aaron Hicks on the IL, the Yankees have needed others to step up in a big way. DJ LeMahieu, Gio Urshela, and Aaron Judge have done just that. New York's offense really came alive on Tuesday, scoring seven runs on 13 hits in the ballgame. The Yankees hit the five-run mark in four of their last five games ahead of Wednesday's tilt.

New York will turn to right-hander Corey Kluber in the third game of this series. Kluber is putting together a solid season this far, going 3-2 with a 3.48 ERA. He's 2-0 in his last three starts to date, going at least 5 2/3 innings in each and allowing a total of six earned runs over that span. Against a Rangers lineup that has struggled at home this season, look for Kluber to continue his recent success.

Why The Rangers Could Cover The Spread

RECOMMENDED (Article Continues Below)

The Rangers had a 3-0 lead in Tuesday's game and looked like they were well on their way to taking a commanding lead in this series. The Yankees then plated five runs in the fourth inning and never looked back. Texas has shown flashes at the plate this year but just can't seem to keep opposing teams off the board. Against a tough pitcher in Kluber, it'll be up to Adolis Garcia and Willie Calhoun to stay hot and generate enough offense to keep up with the red-hot Yankees bats.

The Rangers will send out rookie left-hander Hyeon-Jong Yang for the third game of this series. Yang has made one start for the Rangers in his first Major League season. In four total appearances, the South Korean southpaw owns a 3.38 ERA over 16 innings pitched. In his first career start, Yang gave up one earned run and struck out eight Twins over 3 1/3 innings pitched. He certainly faces one of his toughest tests against the Bronx Bombers.

Final Yankees-Rangers Prediction & Pick

The Yankees are the far superior team in this series and will look to build on their momentum from Tuesday. In just his second career start, Hyeon-Jong Yang will have his hands full against a lineup that just tore Mike Foltynewicz apart. Corey Kluber has looked very solid lately and has a favorable matchup against a Rangers lineup that has scored just 3.9 runs per game at home this season. If you'd like more value, I like this game to go under the total as I see the Rangers going cold in this game at the plate. The strongest pick is certainly the Yanks to win this ballgame, though.

FINAL PICK: New York Yankees ML (-165)
