Atlanta Braves right fielder Jorge Soler is off the NLDS roster because of a positive COVID-19 test. Soler has been replaced by Cristian Pache in the Braves' series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Braves hold a 2-1 lead over the Brewers in this series. Atlanta will try to advance to the NLCS with a victory in Game 4 on Tuesday afternoon.
Soler didn't do much of anything in this series before this positive test, notching just one hit in 11 at-bats. He also walked twice and struck out four times.

However, Soler did have a strong regular season for the Braves after he was traded from the Kansas City Royals. The slugger had struggled with the Royals after hitting 48 home runs with the club in 2019, but he found a new lease on life in Atlanta. In 55 games with the Braves during the regular season, he hit 14 home runs and drove in 33 runs while posting a stellar slash line of .269/.358/.524.
But now Soler will now have to watch the rest of this series as Atlanta tries to shut the door on Milwaukee. The Braves will send Charlie Morton to the mound in Game 4 in an attempt to close out the series.
The 22-year-old Pache has played very little in his young MLB career so far, so not much should be expected from him.
