Chicago Cubs outfielder Nicholas Castellanos got the ball rolling in the first inning of his team's Friday afternoon game against the Milwaukee Brewers by bashing a two-run home run.

Well, in the second inning, he victimized Brewers starter Chase Anderson yet again, hitting another two-run blast off of the right-hander.

Castellanos now has 11 home runs and 20 RBI since arriving in Chicago via a trade with the Detroit Tigers at the deadline last month. He entered Friday's action slashing .352/.386/.685 in 26 games with the club, but those numbers will obviously increase after this game.

On the season overall, Castellanos went into Friday with a slash line of .290/.340/.509, and he now has 22 long balls, 46 doubles, and 57 RBI to go along with that.

The 27-year-old was originally selected by the Tigers in the first round (44th pick overall) of the 2010 MLB Draft. He made his big-league debut in 2013, logging five hits over 18 plate appearances.

He then became a full-time starter the following year, slashing .259/.306/.394 with 11 dingers and 66 RBI over 579 plate appearances. He posted very similar numbers in 2015, slashing .255/.303/.419 with 15 homers and 73 RBI across 595 trips to the dish before having a breakout season of sorts in 2016, registering a slash line of .285/.331/.496 with 18 home runs and 58 RBI through 447 plate appearances.

From that point on, Castellanos never looked back, as he slashed .272/.320/.490 with 26 home runs, 36 doubles, 10 triples, and 101 RBI over 665 plate appearances in 2017 and then had his best season to date in 2018, slashing .298/.354/.500 with 23 homers, 46 doubles and 89 RBI across 678 trips to the dish.

Meanwhile, the Cubs entered Friday's action with a record of 72-61 and winners of three straight.
