Former MLB outfielder Johnny Damon was previously charged for driving under the influence and resisting an officer without violence back on Feb. 19. His SUV was seen swerving and hitting a curb in Windermere, Florida at 1:23 a.m, which led officers to pull him over.

Further details have emerged from the incident, with bodycam footage released by the Windermere Police Department showing Damon and his wife, Michelle Mangan-Damon, struggling with the authorities.

The couple also had a scuffle with an officer who was trying to contain Mangan-Damon at one point after she reportedly disobeyed orders to stay inside the SUV.

“Don’t touch me,” Mangan-Damon tells the cop during the tense encounter. “Don’t f—ing touch me,” she says, before breaking free and walking away.

Afterward, Damon had an encounter with another police officer and knocked his bodycam to the ground. Amid his arrest, the 47-year-old was trying to argue that he is pro-police in order to evade the impending arrest:

“Believe me, I am Blue Lives Matter,” Damon said. “What are you doing right now? We are all for cops. Guys, we are all for cops.”

“Hey bro, I’m a good guy and I know people are trying to target me because I’m a Trump supporter,” Damon said.

Michelle Mangan-Damon wasn't spared as she was also charged for battery on an officer and resisting with violence. After the incident, Damon reportedly had a blood alcohol level ranging between .294 and .300, which proved that he wasn't in the right condition to be driving on the road given it was more than four times the state limit. They were eventually handcuffed and taken to the Orange County Jail before getting bonded out of their arrest.

Johnny Damon completed 18 seasons in MLB and had stints with the Kansas City Royals, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees, among other teams. He finished his career as a two-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion.
