New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone had an unceremonious exit in their 1-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Boone had grown frustrated over the strike zone being given to Yankees star Aaron Judge, who stands at a hulking 6'7″ and got called for strikes on pitches around his knees. That's when he confronted umpire Marty Foster, who proceeded to eject him from the contest. But not before Boone could get a healthy rant in.

Via The New York Post:

“That ball is f–king down. He’s 6 f–king 7,” Boone screamed, referring to Judge and the pitches below his knees that were called strikes.

“He’s 6-7, that’s a strike if he’s 6-8,” Foster replied to the Yankees manager.

“He’s f–king pitching around him and you’re calling f–king strikes in the dirt,” Boone continued yelling.

After the game Aaron Boone was in a much more level-headed state. He addressed the incident during the Yankees postgame press conference.

“We’re playing for a lot and I felt like there were a couple there in situations that didn’t go our way,” the Yankees manager said.

Asked about the umpire's claim that he had spit at him, Boone didn't confirm nor deny. But hard to imagine there weren't some projectiles hurtling with such a loud shouting match between the two.

“I don’t know. I was pretty mad out there so hopefully not any suspension or anything. I kept it in control somewhat.”

The Yankees play again on Friday against the Texas Rangers.
